DichotomyHe had seen her in darkness and in light, before, many times. Shadows like cool water and like knives, shadows that beckoned at him and crawled out in tears he cried once. Light that washed the tears away. It all fell away into sound, sometimes beautiful, sometimes ultraviolet sound he was trapped in with his face forever screaming. Musical DrowningI fall into the sound
and it submerges me, soul and body
into immediate pleasurable suffocation
clogging my ears, muffling out
every outside word.
I am floating weightless
in the waves of drumbeats
and staccato notes.

It tastes metallic on my tongue
as I feel the vibrations invading my
unsuspecting consciousness.
I'm choking on the rhythm,
coughing out crescendos,
as my body jerks involuntarily
with survival instinct
against the foreign liquid synthesis
flooding my nasal cavities and airways.

I let it take me
giving in to the unrelenting, inevitable
bliss...and torture-
endless measures filled with
quarter notes, half not

Another entry for the contest. And again, I'm showing some Daft Punk love. Sorry for the little daft (no pun intended) spam.

About this picture, what can I say… I really got inspired to draw it after a huge dose of Interstella 5555. I just needed to make an odyssey like piece and got a little stuck on how should I put all the references together.

was a good help by giving an excellent suggestion for the background.

I used a reference for this. When I first saw this picture I couldn't stop of come to me as I listened to "Voyager". To me it's like the image and the song are heavily connected. So I decided to use it as a reference and end up drawing something that was almost totally different. For bad or for good, I still don't know. LOL
